The American Muslim Voice, American Civil Liberties Union and other groups speak out about the FBI harassment and persecution of Muslim people in Lodi recently. Speakers will show how the current administration has used the Patriot Act and other anti-terrorism measures to profile and intimidate Muslim people since 9/11. People in the Sacramento Valley and across the USA are organizing to stand up to this intimidation. They are building alliances and forming lifelong friendships with ally groups and individuals. Participants will be urged write letters to their Congressional representatives in the days following the Fourth of July, and to hold in-district meetings with legislators to reinforce their concerns about the Patriot Act, and other methods of threatening Muslims since 9/11. Speakers include: Mr. Kahlid Saeed, Northern California Director of the American Muslim Voice/ACLU, Mr. Norbie Kumagai, Japanese Community leader / ACLU Sacramento Chapter, Mr. Dean Johansson, Esq / ACLU Sacramento Chapter, Mr. James Schwab, ACLU Sacramento Chapter, Ms. Samina Faheem Sundas, Founding Director of the American Muslim Voice. Boise Patriots will read the Bill of Rights on July 4 at noon outside Boise City Hall. A different representative from some of the organizations in the coalition will each read an amendment. Please join Boise Patriots in reminding everyone of the rights this nation was built on and how they are rapidly eroding. Show your support for our rights and holding on to them! The event should last no longer than half an hour. July 4th also marks the 2-year anniversary of the formation of Boise Patriots and celebrates its success in passing a resolution in opposition to the Patriot Act in Boise. Idaho Patriots in other parts of the state went on to pass resolutions in Bonner County, Idaho County, and Moscow. Earlier this year, Idaho became the sixth out of seven states to pass statewide sentiment against the Act when the legislature passed a Joint Memorial in support of encouraging passage of the SAFE Act (which would rescind the four most egregious parts of the Act).

Get the real story behind the USA PATRIOT Act and other administration policies and the gut wrenching stories behind those affected--from law-abiding store clerks to United States Olympians unable to travel. It'll remind you of what America used to stand for and what it seems we're falling for now. In short, this one-hour film will affirm why you're angry and give you a tool to help others join your ranks. Brought to you by the same producer of the films, Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election and Uncovered: The War on Iraq, the film Unconstitutional, The War on Our Civil Liberties provides the facts and stories that illuminate administration lies, wrongheaded policies, and the real victims of these actions--the American people.
